Distributed Accounting (ICE:DA) is a fully fledged web based accounting package that supports multiple companies working together. Whether operating in Branch or Single Office mode, ICE:DA provides for flexible Chart of Accounts and Ledger creation as well as complete Transaction approval, logging and reporting.

The main features of the system are:

Multi-Company Support

This allows the system to be used either for a single company or for a Head Office to consolidate the Accounts of a number of subsidiary companies. Multiple user levels are available to allow control over all branches, a group of branches or a single branch. This allows each branch to act independently an yet allows fast reconciliation between all branches.

Multi-Currency

The system supports multiple currencies through the use of a base currency and then exchange rates against that currency. Currency history is maintained and currency information can be automatically updated from third part currency sites.

Chart of Accounts / Multi-Ledger Support

The C of A supports a very flexible coding structure that can be maintained manually or automatically by the system. Income and Expense Accounts can be interlinked to allow Cost Centre reporting. In multi-branch mode, a common Chart of Accounts (C of A) is used but each Branch can add to the Accounts to handle their own specific requirements. Consolidated Reports are based around the common C of A.

Ledgers can be maintained by Transaction Type, Customer & Supplier as well as by Job. Nominal Ledger and Cashbook/Bankbook facility is also available and allows extensive reporting.

Transaction Processing

The system maintains a wide range of transaction types including:

• Payments, Receipts
• Journal Entries
• Invoices, Supplier Invoices
• Credit & Debit Notes
• Post Dated Cheques

It also allows the creation of new transaction types. The system supports an approval process that allows monthly or weekly accounts to be approved prior to being finalised on the system.

Transaction sequences are serialised for each Branch for each branch and document type. It also supports a Returned Check Process.

Reporting

Reporting is managed through a variety of method, including:

• Extensive In-built Reports
• Custom Report Generator
• Ability to Export Data to a spreadsheet for further analysis and reporting.
• SQL database access for third party reporting tools.

Task Management

The system also supports a complete task management system that allows different users to create, assign and receive tasks. This is specifically used for managing a multi-branch operation but has a wider application assisting with the organisational and man management process.
